What’s required for review:
- Presentation Title(s)
- Learning Objective(s)
- Agenda (for programs longer than 1 hour - should include presentation time(s))
- Content (e.g., slides, speaker’s notes, handouts, detailed summary, etc.). Note: video recordings are not accepted (e.g., YouTube)
- Quiz/test questions (required for all self-study and online programs)
- Payment information (eg., credit card)

Credit hours:
- Programs can be back-dated to a maximum of 6 months from the date of application (no exceptions will be granted).
- Programs must have a minimum duration of 15 minutes to qualify for accreditation (with the exception of ethics, which must be a minimum duration of 30 minutes). Contact time must be clearly documented.
- Time not specifically related to the learning program (i.e., breaks, meals, Q&A sessions, examinations and/or assessment tools) is excluded from determination of the CE credit hour.

Programs previously accredited:
- If a program’s accreditation has expired, an online application would need to be submitted to have the program re-reviewed against our Practice Guidelines. In addition to applying, all content is to be re-sent and payment provided to complete a re-review.

To request to have your program/presentation accredited against the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and/or the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) CE guidelines, please continue to fill out Step 1 and 2 of the application and then proceed to Step 3. Although The Institute is not charging any extra fees for this, the MFDA charges education providers a fee of $150 when they upload a course onto the MFDA's CE Reporting and Tracking System (CERTS).
